INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET

(a) Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the wiper motor grommet lip.

HINT:

Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with grease and the grooves on the lip are filled with grease.

(b) Install the rear wiper motor grommet with the mark directed up.

2. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear wiper motor with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf)

(b) Connect the connector and clamp.

3. INSTALL REAR WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY

(a) Scrape any metal powder off the serrated part of the wiper arm with a round file or the equivalent (when reinstalling).

(b) Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

(d) Install the rear wiper arm into the position shown in the illustration with the nut.

Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf)

HINT:

Hold the arm hinge down by hand while tightening the nut.

4. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

(a) Engage the claw and install the rear wiper head cap.
